Currently HQSF does not offer PhD scholarships.

2- What are the acceptable ILETS & TOEFL scores that qualify the applicant to apply for the graduate & AUB scholarship?

Answer

The applicant should secure ILETS, TOFEL or SAT score as required by the university s/he is applying for to get the unconditional admission.

3- What are phases of the evaluation process for HQSF’s scholarships’ programs?

Answer

Each application at the three scholarship programs goes through the following three phases in the evaluation process:
First Phase (General Screening): in this phase, all the submitted applications are filtered as per each program eligibility criteria.
Second Phase (Evaluation): in this phase, each short listed application takes total points based on the criteria for evaluating the application in different scholarship programs as follows:
  • Graduate program (M.Sc., MBA & MFA);
    • Academic Background 40%
    • Financial Background 30%
    • Interview & Statement 25%
    • Work Experience 5%
  • Undergraduate program (Palestinian Universities & AUB);
    • Academic Background 60%
    • Financial Background 40%
Third Phase (Selection): in this phase, HQSF selects the applicants to receive scholarships as per their rank in the list

4- Can the applicant who was not awarded a scholarship in one round due to applications high competition apply for a second round? If yes, can he/she ask for some of the supporting documents from the old application?

Answer

If the reason for not being awarded a scholarship in one round was due to applications high competition, definitely the applicant can apply for the second round.

In the case of applying for the second round, the applicant should submit a new application with new supporting documents, we do not open any application once the round of scholarships is closed.

5- How can the graduate applicant get unconditional admission from any university accredited at HQSF?

Answer

It is the applicant’s responsibility to communicate with the university and get the unconditional admission to be attached with the scholarship application.

6- Is it a must that the graduate applicant applies for a financial aid from the universities s/he will apply for?

Answer

It is preferable that applicant apply to the financial aid in the university for possible support.

7- What are the basic criteria that qualify the applicant to receive full scholarship?

Answer

Receiving full or partial scholarship is decided upon the final evaluation and HQSF’s budget for this year.

8- Do you cover cost of any family member other than the grantee him/herself in the graduate scholarship?

Answer

HQSF does not cover any cost other than the grantee’s agreed costs.

9- Is it HQSF’s responsibility to secure the visa for the graduate grantee or it is the grantee’s responsibility?

Answer

Getting visa is the responsibility of the grantee. However, HQSF is ready to provide and supporting document that would help the grantee to get a visa.

Answer

HQSF starts the announcement for the undergraduate scholarships at the Palestinian universities from May until mid of August every year.

13- When do you usually start announcing the graduate scholarship every year?

Answer

HQSF starts the announcement for the graduate scholarships aboard from November until the end of February every year.

14- When do you usually start announcing AUB scholarship every year?

Answer

HQSF starts the announcement for the undergraduate scholarships at the Palestinian universities from May until mid of August every year.

15- Is it possible for HQSF undergraduate grantee to apply for HQSF graduate scholarship?

Answer

If the undergraduate grantee at HQSF completed his scholarship and fulfilled the work commitment and received HQSF’s release letter, can apply for the graduate scholarship.

16- Can the grantee apply for the AUB & undergraduate scholarship if he/she is holding SAT instead of the Tawjihi certificate?

Answer

The applicant can apply for the AUB & undergraduate scholarship but must provide us with an equivalent certificate out of 100%.
